Fallen Skies

Portsmouth, 1920. Music-hall singer Lily Valance marries decorated veteran Stephen Winters, hoping that post-war prosperity and performance will allow them to build a new life. Stephen instead returns to a restrictive family home while struggling with trauma, guilt and memories of Flanders.

Lily’s determination to keep her career brings her into conflict with her husband and mother-in-law. As Stephen’s nightmares intensify, the concealed history of his wartime service threatens their marriage and exposes the damage carried into supposedly peaceful civilian life.
