Traitors

Traitors follows Englishman Conrad de Lancey and his German Oxford friend Theo von Hertenberg through the conspiracies surrounding Hitler’s Germany on the eve and opening months of the Second World War. Friendship, patriotism and conscience repeatedly pull them into contacts between British intelligence and German officers who believe removing Hitler may be the only way to prevent or end a wider war.

Traitor’s Gate is built around the September 1938 anti-Hitler conspiracy and the Munich crisis. Shadows of War advances to the Phoney War of 1939, drawing on the Venlo Incident and competing secret approaches for peace. The series blends espionage fiction with real political figures and documented resistance efforts while keeping Conrad and Theo’s personal loyalties at the centre.
