The Last Cavaliers

The Last Cavaliers follows Yancey and Clay Tremayne through the opening and later campaigns of the American Civil War. Military education, cavalry service and loyalties to commanders such as Stonewall Jackson, J. E. B. Stuart and Robert E. Lee place the brothers within the Confederacy’s rise and defeat.

The trilogy combines battle narrative, romance and Christian moral conflict. Its admiration for individual courage is balanced by the characters’ need to confront personal failure, divided heritage and the destructive cause in which they serve.
