Margaret Lee

Margaret Wyatt was born into a Kentish gentry family and was the sister of the poet and diplomat Thomas Wyatt. She married Sir Anthony Lee and is traditionally identified as one of Anne Boleyn’s attendants and friends during Anne’s rise and queenship.

Her association with Anne Boleyn provides evidence for the female networks surrounding the queen and for the Wyatt family’s place at the Tudor court. Margaret Lee was born in England.
