Rokesby Series

The Rokesby novels are prequels to the Bridgerton books, following an earlier generation of the neighbouring Bridgerton and Rokesby families from 1779 to 1791. Their country estates provide a stable family centre, but the stories reach into the American Revolutionary War, Atlantic travel, private intelligence work and medical education.

The sequence shows how dynastic proximity, land and friendship shape marriage before the later London seasons. Because the books take place several decades before the Regency, they are linked primarily to the broader Georgian Era, with more specific war or Atlantic contexts assigned where the individual plots require them.
