Book
The Deadliest Sin
First published 2014
During a deadly plague, a group of travellers takes shelter at an inn and considers which human sin has brought such punishment upon society. Their stories explore pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth through crimes committed in different medieval settings.
The anthology uses the travellers' enforced confinement to connect separate mysteries and competing moral judgements. As disease closes around the inn, the storytellers' debate becomes more urgent, raising the possibility that the most dangerous sin is not found in any single tale but among the company itself.
