The Broken Kingdom introduces Arthur, Igraine, Morgan, Merlin and the warriors who will form the Round Table while political alliances determine who can claim the high kingship.
The historical frame is altered by low-fantasy elements: rising seas drive refugees west, Nimue awakens the dragon Cythraul and the Wormkind threaten human survival. The Broken Kingdom is currently the only complete supplied volume, so no later series records have been invented.
