Stones of Power

The Stones of Power duology is a dark Arthurian fantasy built around Uther Pendragon, a lost sword and magical stones whose power can preserve or corrupt a kingdom. Familiar motifs from British legend are recast within Gemmell's wider supernatural mythology, where gateways, undead enemies and rival sorcerers threaten the boundary between worlds.

Ghost King follows a vulnerable royal heir and the warrior Culain as invasion and betrayal destroy the old order. Last Sword of Power continues the struggle through a new generation, turning the survival of the realm into a quest for a weapon, a child and the return of a hero whose fate is bound to forces beyond death.
