Secrets of the Canyon

Secrets of the Canyon follows three women working at the El Tovar Hotel on the rim of the Grand Canyon during the early years of twentieth-century tourism. Emma Grace, Julia and Ruth each seek a new beginning while the hotel’s wealthy guests, demanding work and isolated setting expose them to secrets, theft and danger.

The trilogy combines Christian historical romance with mystery and the working culture of the Harvey Girls. Across the three books, friendship and found family become as important as romantic attachment, while the Grand Canyon and the new tourist economy provide a setting in which women can attempt to rebuild identities damaged by fear, deception and public judgement.
