Woman in the Mirror
First published 1975
Norah arrives in the Syme household and quickly learns that she resembles Marion Syme, a dead niece whose memory still dominates the house. What begins as domestic employment becomes a gothic problem of resemblance, fear and manipulation inside a half-deserted Welsh home.
This is romantic suspense with a 1950s Welsh setting rather than a historical novel centred on public events. I have cleaned the summary and subject data but left historical-context and people relationships empty to avoid creating weak or misleading period links.
