And the realism borne out of Gilbert Morris's own experiences growing up during the Depression will make the settings and characters come alive.
Set against Great Depression and Silent-Era Hollywood, 1920–1929, it combines family saga, social change and romance with a Christian examination of ambition, temptation and the obligations joining successive generations.
