Callahan’s War

Callahan’s War follows a veteran British soldier during the heavily mechanised battles of the First World War’s final phase. Clash of Steel is currently the sole volume. It places Private Callahan and his comrades in an assault on a strongly defended hill, using their experience to examine how soldiers adapted to combined-arms warfare and how technological change intensified rather than removed the personal violence of battle.
