Wilfred Owen

Wilfred Owen was a British soldier and poet whose work described the physical horror, pity and psychological damage of the First World War. Wilfred Owen is generally dated to 1893–1918.

Treated for shell shock at Craiglockhart, where he met Siegfried Sassoon, he returned to the front and was killed one week before the Armistice. Wilfred Owen was born in Oswestry and died in Ors.
