Wagon Wheel

Wagon Wheel follows travellers and settlers moving along the Santa Fe and Oregon trails during the mid-nineteenth century. Each novel centres on a woman whose circumstances force her into an overland community where survival depends on strangers, convicts, soldiers or reluctant partners.

The series combines western romance with migration, economic failure, imprisonment and religious conviction. Its wagon journeys provide dramatic settings for questions about trust and redemption while reflecting the dangers and social tensions of continental expansion.
