Tolui was the youngest son of Genghis Khan and Börte and later served as regent of the Mongol Empire. He participated in the Mongol conquests and became the ancestor of the Toluid line that produced Möngke, Kublai and Hulagu. Jin Yong portrays him as Guo Jing’s childhood companion and sworn brother.
