Liang Qichao
1873–1929
Liang Qichao was a Chinese reformer, journalist and political thinker who helped redefine nationalism and public debate at the end of the Qing dynasty.
After the failure of the Hundred Days’ Reform, Liang continued his political and intellectual work in exile and became a major advocate of institutional reform, citizenship and new forms of historical and journalistic writing.
