Danish Resistance

Early resistance included illegal newspapers and intelligence gathering. Sabotage increased after 1942, and networks passed military information to Britain and helped threatened people escape to Sweden.

The movement included communists, conservatives, military officers and unaffiliated local groups. German reprisals and Danish collaboration made clandestine work exceptionally dangerous.
