Butch Cassidy

1866–1908

Butch Cassidy was an American outlaw associated with the Wild Bunch and a series of bank and train robberies in the late nineteenth-century West. His flight with Harry Longabaugh, the Sundance Kid, and uncertain death in South America helped turn a regional criminal career into one of the most persistent legends of the Old West.

Hourly History’s Butch Cassidy places Butch Cassidy within the principal events and historical debates associated with this life.
