Firefly Lane

The Firefly Lane series follows the friendship of Tully Hart and Kate Mularky from their first meeting as teenagers in 1974 through careers, marriage, motherhood, estrangement and bereavement. Tully pursues public success as a television journalist, while Kate builds a family life, but the two women continue to measure themselves against a promise made on the street where their friendship began.

Firefly Lane establishes their shared history across more than three decades. Fly Away continues the story after devastating loss, widening its focus to Kate’s daughter Marah and to Tully’s mother Dorothy. Together the novels examine how friendship can function as family, and how grief, addiction and inherited trauma test bonds that once seemed permanent.
